Trainings & Consultation for Mental Health Providers
KCCS offers an intensive 5-part training for Mental Health providers who are feeling ill-equipped to support the gender diverse youth they are seeing in their practice. This comprehensive training covers terminology, biology, comorbidity and differential diagnosis, forms of transition, treatment considerations, understanding the parent’s parallel process, intervening at different stages of parental acceptance, and how to create a more trans-friendly mental health practice. I include select videos, handouts and some experiential learning and provide a resource packet of information at the end. Any therapist or other mental health provider who is eager to learn how to better support gender diverse youth can contact me for information on the next training opportunity.
Following the training, a monthly consultation group is available.
