Heather Kirby is a dynamic speaker and enjoys creating tailored presentations, trainings and workshops for parents, students, educators, therapists, churches or any civic group interested in better understanding adolescents, mental health or LGBTQ issues.
Heather also offers intensive trainings for mental health professionals interested in increasing their competence and confidence in working with trans youth. Her trainings are approved for CE hours by NASW and NBCC. In addition, Heather offers individual consultation and provides a monthly consultation group to support providers in their work with gender diverse teens and their parents.
Professional Training
October 16, 23, 30 & Nov 6 Heather will present the live online training The Nuances and Complexities of Working with Gender-Diverse Youth and their Parents.
This is a 4-part training, which meets from 9:30 - 11:30 for four consecutive Friday mornings, covers a lot of ground and each session builds on the previous, so clinicians should plan to attend all four sessions. The training costs $160 and includes 8 CE hours by NBCC and NASW.
*This training is available to mental health professionals of any discipline who want to better serve their gender diverse clients or their clients who are parents of gender diverse youth.
A monthly consultation group is available to all who complete this intensive training.
Community Education Programs
